Optimism is the most important human trait, because it allows us to evolve our ideas, to improve our situation, and to hope for a better tomorrow. Seth Godin, “Linchpin”

1.) Google Listen: Currently in Google Labs, this Android app acts as an audio magazine. You can also organize to your liking on your desktop through Google Reader. Great for catching up on podcast’s during workouts.

2.) Social Media 101: Excited to learn Chris Brogan just release his new Social Media crash course book. Also was informed that he and Julien Smith are working on a third together. WebWorkerDaily goes further into detail.

e’s Week in Review: Brazen Careerist, Blogcast FM

At the end of each week I will share with you the interesting things I came across through my “e’s Week in Review” post. It could be anything; blog posts, tech products, new apps., quotes, etc. If you have found any interesting tidbits or news, please share in the comments below, I’d love to hear about them.

When you have the enthusiasm and the passion, you end up figuring how to excel. — Deena Kastor, U.S. Olympic Marathoner

1.) Brazen Careerist: I finally decided to see what Brazen Careerist was all about and I am glad I did. There are tons of very useful and compelling content. It’s very simple to navigate with its clean design, and finding connections is a breeze. You can either import those from your other networks, start reading and fanning, or, most importantly, join the networks that best match your interests or purpose.

2.) Blogcast FM: Is a podcast by bloggers for bloggers. It was originally a weekly podcast series called ‘up and coming bloggers’, it then took a life of its own. There are tons of great interviews in here to really get your heart pumping in wanting to leverage the opportunities that lie within this space. It paints you a nice picture that all bloggers started out essentially in the same place, making it a litter easier to step out of your comfort zone. I enjoy listening because it keeps my motivation always lit.

Happy Holidays!

I had a very relaxing and pleasant Christmas. I was able to catch up with some old friends as well as spend a few days with my family. Though the weather was unpredictable at times my wife and I managed to share time with both families.

Love, Family, and Friends are amazing gifts.

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. Happy New Year!

Short and sweet…

1.) Blippy: This is a twitter like stream of all the purchases you make online (nice writeup by Venture Beat). Your followers can comment on your bought items.

e's Week in Review: December 12-20

At the end of each week I will share with you the interesting things I came across through my “e’s Week in Review” post. It could be anything; blog posts, tech products, new apps., quotes, etc. If you have found any interesting tidbits or news, please share in the comments below, I’d love to hear about them.

A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity, an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty. — Winston Churchill

Two “e’s Week” in a row, I know I’m slacking, my apologies.

1.) Stribe: Is a service that allows you to create a customized social network within any website or blog.

2.) Tripit: Is a travel organizing service — email your itinerary to Tripit and they’ll organize and setup alerts for you. They’ll also notify you of any delays.  Your itinerary is easily accessible and sharable. Basically, you do the scheduling and they’ll do the organizing and notifying.

3.) Meebo: Has quite a few nifty services for your website or blog; chat, drag to share, analytics, Meebo bar (just released), etc. I especially am a fan of the drag to share feature. Mashable is currently using this feature, it’s pretty cool!

e’s Weekly Reads:
Last week’s read:  I started “Sticks and Stones” by Larry Weber but ended up closing it, not because of the content, my brain was on information overload. I needed a break and will resume after the new year.

This week’s read:  I had to get away from the business type for a moment… “Beautiful Boy” by David Sheff.

Safe travels to all and Happy Holidays!

e’s Week in Review: Idea Organizer, Idea Paint

e's Week in Review: Idea Organizer, Idea Paint.

At the end of each week I will share with you the interesting things I came across through my “e’s Week in Review” post. It could be anything; blog posts, tech products, new apps., quotes, etc. If you have found any interesting tidbits or news, please share in the comments below, I’d love to hear about them.

To be a consistent winner means preparing not just one day, one month, or even one year—but for a lifetime.    — Bill Rodgers

A week of ideas….

1.) Idea Organizer:  Too often I lose great ideas and thoughts because they occur when I’m least expecting them — in your car, bike ride, walk, out-n-about, etc. While doing all of these things you’ll always have your phone handy. This new app allows you to write, snap a photo, or record an idea. It organizes it and you can then email it to yourself to expand on your thought. It seems to be a very nifty tool.

2.) Idea Paint:  This is just super cool! I will definitely be applying this to a wall in my home office. Enjoy!

I don’t know how the creative process works, but it always seems, as I’m running…that thoughts start coming in; sentences start coming in. — Robert A. Caro, biographer

1.) SEOmoz Blog: If you’re looking for the most current news on search marketing in an easy to understand platform you’ve found the place. Each Friday they have what’s called “Whiteboard Friday”, where they tackle certain search issues by visually taking you through a ‘how-to’ or ‘this is what you should be doing’ process. Very informative couple of minutes.

2.) WorkSung: “We’re all mobile and the city is our office”. This is a blogger’s, or any type of web worker’s wi-fi compass. Check out the video, you’ll be impressed.

Currently Reading: I read “Crush It!” by Gary Vaynerchuk over the weekend and will discuss it further on a later post. I just picked up “The Power of  Less” by Leo Babauta and am really looking forward to this read.

We all have dreams. But in order to make dreams come into reality, it takes an awful lot of determination, dedication, self-discipline, and effort. – Jesse Owens

1.) Setster: This is a nice little widget that you can place into your blog or website for appointment setting online. Great resource for lawyers, barbers, groomers, etc.

2.) TinyGrab: This is a downloadable utility for Mac OS X and Windows that allows you to share your screen captures with a URL link. Upon your screen capture it uploads to your TinyGrab account and within :30 you’ll be notified by a beep that a URL has been placed on your clipboard. Paste your URL  into Twitter, FB, or your blog post for sharing.

3.) Involver: Very useful Facebook app resource. There are all sorts of free, pro, and premium applications in the apps gallery that make your social networking experience a lot easier. Integrating almost everything and bringing a nice flare into Facebook.

At the end of each week I will share with you the interesting things I came across through my “e’s Week in Review” post. It could be anything; blog posts, tech products, new apps., quotes, etc. If you have found any interesting tidbits or news, please share in the comments below, I’d love to hear about them.

Trunk Club: — Revolutionizing the way men buy clothes. We sit and wait until our new wardrobe is delivered in the mail. Not have to leave the house to go shopping is our dream come true.

Second Porch: — Want to advertise your rental properties to people you know. This is a Facebook app that advertises your rental properties to your Facebook friends. This way you will know and trust your vacation goers. Check out the review on TechCrunch.

Wufoo – A startup providing easily edible contact forms just released a new feature… a payment form. The user can make purchases through paypal or a credit card. The owner will receive a notification of all the appropriate information and they can also customize the customer’s invoice to include personalized logos and designs. Very cool for the freelance type or small businesses in not having to deal with any HTML code. It’s just a copy and paste process into your website or blog. Ta da!… It’s that easy.
